YOGA FOR TEENS

A yoga program designed specifically for teens.
When teenagers are educated on the value of practicing yoga, and feel the effects for themselves, they are armed with the necessary tools for combating the stresses of everyday life by finding balance and discovering their inner strength.

• Improve physical & mental health
• Learn helpful life principles

• Discipline body & mind

Dates: May 1 - May 29:  Mondays and Wednesdays
Time:  3:30pm - 4:45pm
Rate: $70 (9 classes, 2xweek) or    
           $45 (5 classes, 1xweek)

HIPS, LOW BACK and LEGS MYOFACIAL RELEASE

Mimi is back with her series on Myofacial Release workshop. We are working on the hips, low back and legs (knees, ankles and feet) this time! 
With the help of the therapy balls and other prompts, you will be lead through specific sequences to help release nagging trigger points, tensed muscles and/or aching joints that may affect the mobility in your hips, lower back,  knees, ankles and feet.
 
By kneading out, stretching, contracting and releasing muscles and connective tissues surrounding the area targeted, we will excavate through the body its blanks spots, abuse or misuse soft tissues.
 
Come and learn how to:

  • reduce or eliminate pain
  • relax contracted muscles
  • increase joint mobility
  • reduce stress
  • increase blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • speed the recovery of injuries
  • prevent future injuries
  • improve posture and body awareness

Meditation Wednesdays: 6:15pm-6:45pm

Meditation

A long day a work? Feeling stressed...frazzled...Please join us for a session of meditation every Wednesdays at 6:15pm.  We will practice walking and sitting meditation with Jen S. 


Scientific studies proves that meditation leads to a healthy body. It calms your nervous system by reducing stress, lowers your heart rate, bringing your mind into focus and clarity. Bringing a sense of peace, harmony, vitality and calmness within your mind and heart. A regular practice is ideal for an effortless meditation.
Take a break and pause from the chaos of the day and please join us as we will learn to sit with ourselves. 
No previous experience is necessary. 
Please bring a cushion, mat(folded to sit on) or anything else that you may require to be comfortable. Wear comfortable clothing.

This will allow you to try as many classes as you wish from our regularly scheduled classes. Our classes range from gentle, restorative to more active, vigorous yoga classes.

ZUMBA.New session starts Sat.Apr 6th..2:00pm

Welcome spring with Zumba!
If you are tired of the same old workout, enjoy a taste of Zumba! The class is FUN and energtic-it uses dance steps from salsa, merengue, belly dancing, reggaeton and other international music combined with fitness moves to create a total body workout. 

All you need are your running shoes, water and  be prepared to have tons of fun as you dance the hour away to hot Latin music!

Bootcamp Yoga

Satula Yoga is excited to have Bootcamp Yoga back with Lucy! 
The 6 week, 2xWeek session will begin on Tuesday, Jan.29, 2013. 8:30pm-9:30pm
All Levels.

The workshop will incorporate Resistance training, Power Yoga, Cardio and Flexibility. 
Participants are encouraged to breathe, connect and listen to their bodies throughout the practice. We will also use weights and resistance bands. Most importantly, go at your own pace or perhaps challenge yourself. Lucy will guide you through the practice in a safe and encouraging environment.

About Lucy M:

Lucy is a Certified fitness instructor and personal trainer with Can Fit Professional.
She has been coaching group classes for 20 years and work as a Personal Trainer for 8 years.
She is a certified Yoga Instructor. 
Currently, Lucy coaches both yoga and resistance training classes. 
Lucy's comments to her future students: "I will try to make the classes fun, flexible to cater to all different levels. Proper techniques are important to ensure safety to participants."
